The Alabama Crimson Tide will face the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a top-25 SEC showdown during Week 5 of the 2026 college football season at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville.
The SEC announced start time and TV channel information for the matchup between the two unbeaten teams late Saturday.
Alabama (4-0 overall, 2-0 SEC) will face Mississippi State (4-0, 2-0) at 11 a.m. CT Saturday. The game will be televised on ABC, marking the Crimson Tide's fourth appearance on the "Alphabet Network" in five games. Alabama-Mississippi State will stream on ESPN+.
It will be the first meeting between the Tide and Bulldogs since Sept. 30, 2023 at Davis Wade Stadium. Alabama defeated Mississippi State, 40-17, in that game.
The Crimson Tide are coming off a dominant
49-18 win over South Carolina in Week 4 at Bryant-Denny Stadium behind another dazzling performance by first-year starting quarterback Keelon Russell. Russell threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for another score.
The former five-star recruit from the class of 2025 completed 21 of his 27 passes and connected on touchdown passes to Ryan Coleman-Williams, Lotzeir Brooks and Josh Ford in Alabama's rout of the Gamecocks.
Mississippi State came from behind to defeat the Missouri Tigers, 31-24, in Starkville in Week 4. The Bulldogs have their own blossoming star at quarterback in sophomore Kamario Taylor.
Taylor led Mississippi State on two touchdown drives in the fourth quarter against Missouri, including the game-winning 24-yard touchdown pass to Sanfrisco Magee with 3:57 to play. Taylor was 27 of 38 for 360 yards and three touchdowns.
Bulldogs running back Fluff Bothwell, a native of Oneonta, Alabama, had 122 rushing yards and 55 receiving yards against the Tigers. He scored a touchdown on the ground and another through the air.
