Entering this Saturday's game against Texas A&M, the Alabama Crimson Tide are dealing with a number of injuries to multiple prominent starters on both sides of the ball.
Included in this group are Ryan Coleman-Williams and Racin Delgatty on the offensive side of the ball, as well as EJ Crowell, who left Saturday's game in the first half with an injury. Terrance Green and Zabien Brown are also dealing with injuries on defense, with the latter departing the Tennessee game as well.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer provided an update on that group of players Monday afternoon during his press conference, stating what this week might look like for each leading up to Saturday's game against Texas A&M.
"A lot of these guys are kind of in the same boat,"
DeBoer said. "Zabien, lower-leg injury, trying to evaluate throughout the week what he looks like. Racin is really in the same boat, so just kind of go to him. He’s progressing pretty well though, and so, we’ll see. He’s going to be week-to-week. Ryan is also. Again, all these guys are kind of in the same area, in the same window. I would not expect them to be practicing all week long, but we’ll kind of see as the week gets to the end what that looks like."
“EJ, lower-leg injury, just kind of continue to evaluate. We’ll kind of see where he’s at here in the next couple days. I wouldn’t expect him to practice early in the week for sure, and then Terrance is progressing. They’re really all kind of in the same spot. Terrance is week-to-week right now.”
Each of Coleman-Williams, Delgatty, and Green missed the Tennessee game with injury this past Saturday.
The Crimson Tide will be back in action this upcoming Saturday at home against Texas A&M in the final game before their bye week. Kickoff inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
