Following an impressive showing Saturday afternoon in Starkville, did the Alabama Crimson Tide move in this week's latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings?
Alabama was ranked as the nation's No. 6 overall team in the latest AP Poll, which was released Sunday afternoon. The Crimson Tide rose a spot up from their No. 7 ranking last week, jumping Indiana.
Alabama's Week 5 result was arguably their most impressive yet this season as the Crimson Tide routed Mississippi State in Starkville, 56-23. The Alabama defense also forced four turnovers from the talented Bulldog offense, while Keelon Russell had four total touchdowns, while Rico Scott and Trae'shawn Brown each had two as well.
Another significant test now awaits Alabama in Week 6, as the Crimson Tide return
home to host Georgia in college football's biggest game this upcoming Saturday. Georgia is currently undefeated, ranking No. 2 in the latest AP Poll.
Kickoff between the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The game will be played Saturday, Oct. 10, in Tuscaloosa.
