Is there such a place as a house of horrors for Alabama football in the SEC?
Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium is probably the first place that comes to mind for most fans, and even Nick Saban once called it "haunted
." The Crimson Tide lost their first four trips to The Plains once the Iron Bowl began moving away from Birmingham's Legion Field in the late 80s, but the Tide have won three straight in Auburn.Tennessee's Neyland Stadium has been the backdrop of many a Crimson Tide heartbreak, but in almost every case, the Vols were simply the better team.
And while LSU's Tiger Stadium may be a dreaded venture for most SEC teams, that hasn't been the case for Alabama. The Crimson Tide have suffered only a handful of losses in Baton Rouge since the stadium
opened just over 100 years ago.
Alabama's 2026 road schedule features trips to Kentucky and Mississippi State before the Tide head to Knoxville for its annual Third Saturday in October clash with the Volunteers.
Alabama returns to LSU for its first game in Baton Rouge with Lane Kiffin on the Tigers' sideline to kick off its November slate. A week later, the Crimson Tide's road slate concludes with a trip to Nashville to face Vanderbilt.
Which SEC stadiums have Alabama struggled in the most through the years? Here's a look at how many times the Crimson Tide have come up short against every SEC opponent on the road.

Author's note: win-loss totals apply only to games played at current SEC home stadiums, not previous venues Alabama played in such as War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Mississippi, and so forth.
Games that were later forfeited due to NCAA probation by either school involved are excluded. The date each stadium first opened is listed in parentheses.
1. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee (1921): 21 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 26-21-2 at Neyland Stadium. The Crimson Tide played their first game at what's now known as Neyland Stadium in 1921.
- Win percentage: 55%.
- Last loss: Oct. 19, 2024.
2. Jordan Hare Stadium, Auburn (1939): 10 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 8-10 at Jordan-Hare Stadium, which hosted its first Iron Bowl in 1989.
- Win percentage: 44%.
- Last loss: Nov. 30, 2019.
T-3. Tiger Stadium, LSU (1924): 9 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 28-9-2 at Tiger Stadium. The Crimson Tide played their first game at Tiger Stadium in October 1925.

T-3. FirstBank Stadium, Vanderbilt (1922): 9 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 30-9-2 at FirstBank Stadium, previously known as Vanderbilt Stadium. The Crimson Tide played their first game there in 1926.

5. Sanford Stadium, Georgia (1929): 8 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 14-8 at Sanford Stadium, which first hosted the Crimson Tide in 1935.
- Win percentage: 63%.
- Last loss: Oct. 4, 2003.
T-6. Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field, Mississippi State (1914): 4 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 21-4 at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field, which first hosted the Crimson Tide in 1928.
- Win percentage: 84%.
- Last loss: Nov. 10, 2007.
T-6. Razorback Stadium, Arkansas (1938): 4 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 10-4 at Razorback Stadium, with all 10 victories coming since Arkansas joined the Southeastern Conference in 1992. The Crimson Tide played their first game in Fayetteville in September 1994.

- Win percentage: 80%.
- Last loss: Oct. 4, 2014.
T-9. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Florida (1930): 2 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 11-2 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, previously known as Florida Field. The Crimson Tide played their first game in Gainesville in 1930.
- Win percentage: 84%.
- Last loss: Sept. 30, 2006.
T-9. Williams-Brice Stadium, South Carolina (1934): 2 losses
- All-time record: Alabama is 5-2 at Williams-Brice Stadium, including a 4-2 mark since the Gamecocks joined the SEC in 1992. The Crimson Tide played their first game in Columbia in 1946.
- Win percentage: 71%.
- Last loss: Oct. 9, 2010.
T-9: Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Oklahoma (1923): 2 losses
- All-time record: This stadium is unlike the others because Alabama has lost at "The Palace on The Prairie" more times than it has won. The Crimson Tide are 1-2 in Norman, which first hosted Alabama in nonconference play in Week 2 of the 2002 season.
- Win percentage: 33%.
- Last loss: Nov. 23, 2024.
T-12. Kroger Field, Kentucky (1973): 1 loss
- All-time record: Alabama is 7-1 at Kroger Field, also known as Commonwealth Stadium. The Crimson Tide played their first game at Commonwealth Stadium in September 1973.
- Win percentage: 87%.
- Last loss: Oct. 4, 1997.
T-12. Kyle Field, Texas A&M (1905): 1 loss
- All-time record: Alabama is 6-1 at Kyle Field, which first hosted the Crimson Tide in December 1988.

- All-time record: Alabama is 1-0 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, which first hosted the Crimson Tide in Week 2 of the 2022 season. Previously, Texas defeated Alabama twice from 1915-22 in Austin.
