The Alabama Crimson Tide have officially defeated the LSU Tigers for the fourth consecutive season.
On Saturday afternoon, the Crimson Tide traveled to Baton Rouge for another high-profile game against LSU, once again leaving Tiger Stadium with a huge win. This time around, Alabama defeated LSU, 31-13, led by an impressive performance from the Tide's defense, as well as a dominant fourth quarter where a number of different players had an impact.
Following is this week's Alabama stock report, which takes a look at three players who are now trending up following their performance against LSU in Week 10.
Keelon Russell, Quarterback
Russell was impressive at times in a tough environment Saturday in Baton Rouge, finishing the game by completing 17-of-24 passes for 206 yards and
three touchdowns, each of which came in the second half. Also dealing with an ankle injury during the game, Russell was also Alabama's second-leading rusher with 25 yards on eight attempts, and eventually finished the game with a 90.2 QBR.
Devan Thompkins, Defensive Line
Thompkins finished the Tide's win at LSU with only two tackles, but the versatile defensive lineman certainly made the most of those pair of stops. Both of Thompkins' tackles were sacks, which tied his season-high after getting a pair in the win at Kentucky earlier this season. This was also Thompkins' first sack since the Florida State game.
Luke Metz, Inside Linebacker
Metz led the Crimson Tide in tackles against LSU with 11 total, six of which were solo. The inside linebacker also had a huge interception late in the second quarter when the LSU offense was driving, which he returned for 28 yards. Metz's solo and total tackles were the second-most in a game this season.
