An argument could be made that the Alabama Crimson Tide's win Saturday night over South Carolina was their most impressive yet this season.
The Crimson Tide used stellar offensive play
early in the contest to build a big lead, something South Carolina would not be able to overcome. This included a touchdown on four of Alabama's first five drives to start the game, as well as a huge pick-six shortly after that occurred.In the win, a number of Alabama players impressed with their respective performances, but which of those were the best?
Let's attempt to answer that question by taking a look at this week's stock report, which features three Alabama players trending up after their showing against South Carolina.
Keelon Russell, Quarterback
Russell had another huge showing Saturday
while leading the Alabama offense, completing 21-of-27 passes for 365 yards and four touchdowns, the latter two of which were season-high's. Finishing with a 98.3 QBR, Russell also had 35 yards and a touchdown on eight rushing attempts.
Red Morgan, Defensive Back
Morgan had likely his best performance of the season Saturday night by recording eight tackles, five of which were solo to lead the Crimson Tide. The defensive back also had a TFL, as well as a 23-yard interception returned for a touchdown in the first half.
Luke Metz, Inside Linebacker
Similar to fellow inside linebacker Caleb Woodson, Metz was everywhere on the field defensively for the Crimson Tide on Saturday night. Metz led Alabama's defense with 13 total tackles, two of which were solo, while also recovering a fumble.
