Alabama's toughest test yet is set to arrive Saturday night when the Crimson Tide host the Georgia Bulldogs in a big Top 10 showdown in Tuscaloosa.
One of college football's top teams, Georgia comes to Tuscaloosa on Saturday undefeated at 5-0 overall (3-0 SEC), while also ranked as the nation's No. 2 team in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll.
The Bulldogs also have a roster loaded with talent on both sides of the ball, a group that is headlined by a number of players who have played significant snaps against the Crimson Tide each of the past two-to-three seasons.
Following are five Georgia Bulldogs to know in particular ahead of Saturday night's game, as well as how each have performed against Alabama in previous matchups.
Gunner Stockton, Quarterback
Stockton, a fifth-year senior
quarterback, has been one of the most impressive players at the position nationally so far this season where he has thrown for 1,049 yards and a 13:1 TD:INT ratio, while also currently leading the SEC in both completion percentage (75.5%) and passer rating (202.0). Starting against Alabama in both games a year ago, Stockton, who also has 20 rushes for 120 yards this season, completed a combined 33-of-46 (71.7%) of passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 61 yards on 18 attempts.
Raylen Wilson, Inside Linebacker
Wilson is Georgia's leading tackler with 24 total (13 solo) on the season, while also leading the Bulldog defense with five TFL, three sacks, and two forced fumbles, the latter of which also currently leads the SEC. Set to face Alabama for the fifth time, the senior inside linebacker has made 15 tackles against the Crimson Tide dating back to the 2023 SEC Championship Game.
Chris Cole, Inside Linebacker
The junior inside linebacker ranks just behind Wilson among Georgia's leading tacklers with 22 total (16 solo) so far this season, while also having recorded five TFL, 1.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries. Cole had 10 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and 1.5 sacks combined against Alabama a year ago.
Chauncey Bowens, Running Back
While the Bulldogs have a plethora of talented running backs, Bowens has received the most carries of the group so far this season by rushing for 124 yards and six touchdowns on 35 attempts, while also hauling in 10 receptions for 132 yards and another score. The junior rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries in two games against Alabama a year ago, while also catching five passes for 24 yards.
KJ Bolden, Defensive Back
Bolden is arguably the most talented overall player in Georgia's secondary, and has a combined 15 tackles, 1.5 TFL, and one interception so far this fall. The junior defensive back is set to face Alabama for the fourth time Saturday having made a combined 14 tackles with two pass defenses across the past three games.
