The Alabama Crimson Tide are facing the Auburn Tigers much sooner than usual on the hardwood. Alabama returns to the court for its second exhibition game of the 2026-27 men's college basketball season as Nate Oats' Crimson Tide face Steven Pearl's team in Birmingham.
It's the second SEC team Alabama will face in its brief exhibition schedule. The Crimson Tide defeated the Ole Miss Rebels, 92-84, on Oct. 15 at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham.
Sophomore forward Amari Allen had 19 points in Alabama's win over Ole Miss. Former NC State commit Cole Cloer added 18 points, and Mississippi State transfer Jamarion Davis-Fleming had 12. The Crimson Tide shot 50 percent (31 of 62) from the field and made 11 of 32 3-pointers. The Tide's new-look roster
out-rebounded the Rebels, 45-28.
Auburn opened exhibition play with an 82-71 loss to the Florida State Seminoles at Boutwell Auditorium on Oct. 15. Tahaad Pettiford led the Tigers with 20 points, Adam Olsen added 11 and Kevin Overton finished with 10.
Alabama was 25-10 overall a season ago and 13-5 in SEC play. The Crimson Tide reached the NCAA Tournament as a No. 4 seed and fell to the national champion Michigan Wolverines in the Sweet 16. Auburn finished 22-16 overall last season and won the NIT.
