Per Yea Alabama, the Alabama Crimson Tide have finalized kicking roles ahead of the 2026 college football season.
A competition Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer recently described as "extremely competitive
," Conor Talty will serve as the Crimson Tide's field goal kicker this fall, as well as handle extra points. Lorcan Quinn, a transfer from Marshall who was competing with Talty during fall camp, will handle kickoffs.Talty is entering his fourth season at Alabama, as well as his second as the Crimson Tide's primary field goal kicker. As a junior last fall, Talty made 16-of-23 field goals attempted for the Crimson Tide, while also a perfect 48-of-48 on extra points.
Quinn, a sophomore, joined the Crimson Tide this offseason following a season at
Marshall where he was one of the Sun Belt's top kickers a year ago, leading the conference with 21 made field goals on 26 attempts.
Alabama will open the 2026 season at home this upcoming Saturday, Sept. 5, against East Carolina. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT on ABC.
