When taking an overall look at the 2026 season up to this point, a case could be made that the Week 6 slate in the SEC was the best we have seen yet.
In all, the SEC had multiple ranked teams suffer a loss Saturday, three of which were against unranked opponents. As a result, the updated conference standings look significantly different, headlined by a team now in sole possession of first place as the SEC's lone remaining unbeaten.
Also included in the SEC's Week 6 slate were two teams getting their first conference win, with one doing so in a huge road performance that was considered among college football's biggest upsets of the day. As a result, there are now only two SEC teams remaining who have yet to win a conference game this season.
