After being waived or released days prior as part of NFL roster moves, there are a few former Alabama Crimson Tide players who have since found a new league home in recent days.
Included in that group is former Crimson Tide outside linebacker Chris Braswell, who has joined the Houston Texans as a member of the team's practice squad. A former second round pick in 2024, Braswell spent the last two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he appeared in 34 games, racking up 48 tackles, five TFL, and 2.5 sacks.
Also finding a new NFL home were two former Alabama offensive standouts in Jedrick Wills and CJ Dippre, who are now members of the Buffalo Bills and Buccaneers' practice squads, respectively. Wills spent the preseason with the Chicago Bears,
while Dippre was a member of the New England Patriots.
Elsewhere across the NFL, there were a few players who were waived or released in recent days who have returned to those same teams such as JK Scott and Trevon Diggs.
The 2026 NFL season is set to begin Wednesday, Sept. 9.
