Coming out of Saturday's road loss at Tennessee, there were two Alabama Crimson Tide players whose injury status was an unknown in cornerback Zabien Brown and running back EJ Crowell.
Both of Brown and Crowell saw limited playing time Saturday in Knoxville, with both exiting the game during the first half due to an injury. Brown finished the game with two tackles, while Crowell had only a carry for one yard.
Following the game, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer gave an update on the status of both during his postgame press conference.
"Both of them, both Zabien and EJ, have lower-extremity injuries, and we will work through it here this week," DeBoer said. "I don't have much more than that."
Both of Brown and Crowell now join a lengthy list of Alabama
players who are dealing with an injury entering Week 8. That features starters such as Ryan Coleman-Williams, Racin Delgatty, and Terrance Green, each of which missed Saturday's game in Knoxville.
Alabama's next game will come at home this upcoming Saturday against Texas A&M. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
