Week 3 of the 2026 college football season finds the Alabama Crimson Tide set for a rematch against a program that handed Kalen DeBoer one of the most stunning losses during his first two seasons as Alabama's coach. The Tide will face the Florida State Seminoles Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama (2-0) is ranked No. 10 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 poll; Florida State (1-1) is unranked. The Crimson Tide are coming off a 45-17 win over Kentucky at Kroger Field in Lexington. The game saw Alabama erase a 17-13 halftime deficit en route to 32 unanswered points.
Keelon Russell and the Tide shook off three early turnovers, and Alabama's defense shined in a second-half shutout by forcing two turnovers, plus a turnover on downs and a stuffed
fake punt attempt.
Daniel Hill led a potent rushing attack with a career-high 104 yards and a touchdown. True freshmen EJ Crowell and Trae'shawn Brown added touchdown runs as well, and Russell threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Rico Scott to finish 16-of-23 for 188 yards.
Florida State is coming off a bye after falling to the SMU Mustangs, 27-24, on Labor Day night at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The FSU defense allowed 430 yards to SMU. Despite the Seminoles rushing for nearly 200 yards, fifth-year senior quarterback Ashton Daniels was held to 125 yards on 12 of his 23 passes.
ESPN reveals TV announcers for Alabama football vs Florida State
Ahead of Alabama-Florida State, ESPN has announced who will have the call of Saturday's game in Tuscaloosa. Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy will call the action from the broadcast booth at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Katie George will report from the sidelines.
It's the second straight week that McDonough and McElroy are on the call for Alabama's game. The duo called four Crimson Tide games a season ago and are ESPN and ABC's No. 2 college football broadcast crew behind Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.
