After missing the Mississippi State game, could Alabama Crimson Tide starting right tackle Jayvin James potentially return for the Georgia game this Saturday night?
Alabama's starting right tackle, James previously suffered an injury during the second half against South Carolina in Week 4, something which resulted in the Mississippi State transfer missing the game in Starkville this past Saturday. As a result, Tyrell Miller started for Alabama at the position, and would likely do the same Saturday against Georgia, should James be unavailable once again.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer updated the status of James on Monday during his weekly press conference, as well as a few other injured Crimson Tide players. James' update was arguably the most
notable though, stating that there is a chance the right tackle could return this Saturday against the Bulldogs.
“Jayvin, we were optimistic that he can return this week,” DeBoer said. “We’ll kind of see as the week goes on.”
DeBoer also stated Monday that injured defensive players Justin Hill and Desmond Umeozulu would still miss a few more games.
Alabama and Georgia will kickoff this upcoming Saturday night, Oct. 10, live on ABC. The game will be played from Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
