Alabama star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams entered the Top 10 in career receiving yards in Alabama program history during Saturday's 49-18 win over South Carolina. Coleman-Williams now sits at 1,887 career yards, which is tenth most in Alabama football history.
Coleman-Williams passed mid-2000's Alabama receiver Keith Brown who had been in tenth with 1,863 career receiving yards. Coleman-Williams passed Brown to join the Top 10 on a 42-yard touchdown reception midway through the second quarter that extended Alabama's lead at the time to 21-3. Coleman-Williams finished the game with five catches, 98 yards, and two touchdowns.
Coleman-Williams came into the game with 1,789 yards, which was 74 yards outside the Top 10, as well as No. 14 on
the all-time list. In the game tonight, he jumped Brown, Freddie Milons (No. 11, 1,859 yards), David Bailey (No. 12, 1,857), and Marquis Maze (No. 13, 1,844).
Next up on the list ahead of Coleman-Williams is former first round pick and current NFL star Jaylen Waddle who wrapped his Alabama career with 1,999 receiving yards (112 yards ahead of Coleman-Williams) to currently sit ninth in Alabama history. Just 71 yards ahead of Waddle (183 ahead of Coleman-Williams) and currently eighth in school history is Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end and current NFL executive Ozzie Newsome with 2,070 yards.
Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith is the Alabama career receiving yards record holder with 3,965 yards.
