ESPN's "College GameDay" is staying in the SEC for Week 4 of the 2026 college football season.
Host Rece Davis, former Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban and fellow analysts Pat McAfee, Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit will be in Knoxville for the top-25 showdown Saturday between the Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium.
It's the fourth straight week to open the 2026 season that "GameDay" has been in the SEC. The iconic pregame show visited Baton Rouge for Lane Kiffin's first game as LSU coach in Week 1 against Clemson, then traveled to Austin for the top-5 showdown between Texas and the Ohio State Buckeyes in Week 2.
"GameDay" recently visited Oxford and Vaught Hemingway Stadium for Kiffin's return to Ole Miss as LSU's
coach following his bitter exit from the Rebels ahead of last year's College Football Playoff.
The SEC has dominated the first month of the season. SEC schools are a combined 10-2 against nonconference Power Four opponents in head-to-head play.
Tennessee, meanwhile, will host "GameDay" for the 13th time in school history, and for the second time in as many years. The ESPN crew visited Knoxville for the Vols' Week 3 SEC opener against the Georgia Bulldogs on Sept. 13, 2025. Georgia defeated Tennessee, 44-41, in overtime.
Texas' visit to Tennessee will be a first in college football and Longhorns history. The Longhorns and Volunteers have never met in a regular season game. The teams squared off three previous times, all at the Cotton Bowl. The last matchup occurred on Jan. 1, 1969. Texas won, 36-13.
The Longhorns (3-0) are No. 1 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25; Tennessee (3-0) is No. 13 in the Coaches Poll. Kickoff for Texas-Tennessee is 11 a.m. CT. The game will be televised on ABC.
Saban is certainly no stranger to Neyland Stadium. As Alabama's coach from 2007-2023, he led the Crimson Tide to seven straight wins in Knoxville as part of 15 consecutive Alabama victories over Tennessee. It's the longest winning streak in the Third Saturday in October rivalry. The Vols ended the streak with a 52-49 win in 2022.
"College GameDay" on ESPN begins at 8 a.m. CT each week.

Alabama (3-0) will face the South Carolina Gamecocks (2-1) at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Week 4 of the 2026 college football season. Kickoff is 6 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPN.
The Crimson Tide are No. 8 in the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25. South Carolina is unranked.
