Taking place Saturday afternoon in Knoxville, the weather forecast for the Alabama Crimson Tide's game against the Tennessee Volunteers appears to be essentially the complete opposite of a week ago in Tuscaloosa.
A game impacted by Hurricane Isaias, Alabama fell to the Georgia Bulldogs last Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, 20-17. The loss was Alabama's first of the season, and as a result, the Crimson Tide now face an important trip to Knoxville this Saturday afternoon, one where the weather is not expected to be a factor.
According to The Alabama Weather Network's James Spann on Thursday morning, the skies will be sunny Saturday afternoon for the latest chapter of "The Third Saturday in October." It will however likely be the coolest game so far
this season for Alabama in terms of temperatures, as it will likely remain in the 50's throughout the contest.
The Weather Channel's latest forecast for Knoxville on Saturday afternoon also calls for temperatures in the 50's at kickoff under partly cloudy skies.
Alabama and Tennessee are set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 17, from Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. The game will be televised on ABC.
