The Alabama Crimson Tide's Week 4 game against the South Carolina Gamecocks now has an official start time.
Alabama-South Carolina will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on Sept. 26 from Bryant-Denny Stadium, the SEC announced Monday. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Alabama-South Carolina had been designated a "prime time" game in the summer when the SEC began releasing its early season kickoff schedule. It will mark the third straight year the Tide and Gamecocks will meet during the regular season, the first time that's happened since South Carolina joined the SEC in 1992.
Alabama has defeated South Carolina in each of the past two seasons, but not without some close calls. The Crimson Tide scored two touchdowns in the final 2:16 to overcome an eight-point
deficit for a 29-22 victory at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on Oct. 25 last season.
Alabama trailed the Gamecocks, 19-14, entering the fourth quarter on Oct. 12, 2024 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Jalen Milroe ran for a touchdown and threw for another in a 27-25 victory that came only after Domani Jackson picked off a LaNorris Sellers pass in the end-zone as time expired to secure the victory.
The Crimson Tide (2-0) are coming off a 45-17 win over Kentucky on Saturday. South Carolina (2-0) defeated Towson, 45-9, in Week 2. Alabama is ranked No. 10 in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25; South Carolina is unranked.
