What is the story about?

Former Chicago Bears wide receiver Tyler Scott has been waived by the Los Angeles Rams as part of roster cuts, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Scott, a former fourth-round pick, was a training camp and preseason standout, but he was unable to find that kind of success in the regular season. In two seasons with Chicago, Scott had just 18 catches for 173 yards, and he was waived as part of final roster cuts last year.

Scott is considered one of the biggest draft misses for general manager Ryan Poles, which also includes defensive tackle Zacch Pickens from his same draft class.

After Scott was released by the Bears, he joined the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad before being released in September, and he was signed to the Seattle Seahawks practice squad in October

before shortly being released. Scott joined the Rams practice squad back in late October 2025, where he remained for the duration of the season. He signed a reserve/future deal with Los Angeles back in January.
