Given all the circumstances that have surrounded the ongoing conversation on the future home of the Chicago Bears amid their stadium issues, Soldier Field should be rocking throughout the 2026 season.
On Sunday, legendary Bears cornerback and creator of the “Peanut Punch,” Charles Tillman will be the honorary captain for the team in their 2026 regular season home opener against the Minnesota Vikings. Jim Cornelison will also perform the national anthem.
Tillman has a long list of accolades he accomplished while with the Bears, including being named to the 100 Greatest Bears of All-Time, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, and an All-Pro in the 2012 season.
Chicago and Minnesota split their season series last year, and with a chance to start the season off
2-0 for the first time since 2020, Soldier Field should be a very fun place to be, especially with Charles Tillman and Jim Cornelison firing up the home crown.
