The wait is officially over as the Chicago Bears are back at Halas Hall for the start of training camp this week ahead of what's expected to be another exciting 2026 season under second-year head coach Ben Johnson and his roster full of promising players.
After Bears rookies and quarterbacks reported to Halas Hall on Saturday, veterans are now reporting to the team’s Lake Forest facility on Tuesday.
Chicago's first practice will be held on Wednesday, July 22, which is closed to the public. The Bears’ first open practice will be on Friday, July 24, where a free ticket is required for entry.
The Bears are coming off an impressive 2025 season, where they went from worst to first with an 11-6 record, won the NFC North and won their first playoff game
in nearly two decades in Johnson's first year as head coach. This offseason, they lost some key veterans, including wide receiver DJ Moore, safety Kevin Byard, center Drew Dalman and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.
But they added some intriguing names including safety Coby Bryant, linebacker Devin Bush, center Garrett Bradbury and wide receiver Kalif Raymond. Chicago also drafted some potential impactful contributors including safety Dillon Thieneman, center Logan Jones, tight end Sam Roush, wide receiver Zavion Thomas and cornerback Malik Muhammad.
Training camp is shaping up to be an exciting one as Johnson looks to get his team in shape for the 2026 season, where the Bears will be defending their division crown and looking to make a return trip to the postseason.
