The Chicago Bears made another statement on the prime-time stage with a dominant 34-17 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks to improve to 6-2 on the season, where the team's biggest playmakers, quarterback Caleb Williams and new defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, shined.
Simmons' debut with Chicago couldn't have gone better, as he tied for a team-high six tackles, including two tackles for loss, one sack, one QB hit and one pass breakup in what was a sensational defensive showing. He opened up things for players around him, most notably former college teammate Montez Sweat, who had one sack and three QB hits. Simmons is already proving to be worth those two first-round picks (and perhaps more).
Meanwhile, Williams cemented
himself in the MVP conversation after putting on a show against a dominant Seahawks defense. He completed 24-of-34 passes for 247 yards with one touchdown, no turnovers and a 101 passer rating. Williams became the first quarterback to throw for more than 200 yards against this Seattle defense this season.
In the last two weeks, Chicago has beaten the defending AFC Champions (New England Patriots) and reigning Super Bowl champions (Seahawks). This was the kind of statement win that shows that this Bears team is a legitimate Super Bowl contender, and fans from around the NFL agree.

In 2006, I was at the Bears-Seahawks game at Soldier Field where they beat down the reigning NFC champs. I left to a chorus of "Super Bears, Super Bowl" and I started to truly believe a Super Bowl run was going to happen.

20 years later, I'm feeling the same way again.
#Bears might be going to the show…

We’re here. We’re chasing that trophy. And we’re for real.
Caleb Williams is a sensational athlete with a huge arm who is learning to play QB at the highest level. He is on his way to being the NFL's best QB.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) November 3, 2026
I know Mahomes and Allen exist, but Caleb Williams may be the QB I’d choose right now to build my NFL franchise around. He’s incredible.
— Ari Wasserman (@AriWasserman) November 3, 2026
Chicago just better in all three phases in this game. This team is very complete. Simmons makes a MASSIVE difference.

You have NO clue how good the Jeffery Simmons film is tonight….
— Chase Daniel (@ChaseDaniel) November 3, 2026
I remain constantly in awe of how many modes the Bears have to win games. Explosives in the passing game. Methodical rushing attack. Pre-snap war. Dink-and-dunk. Defense can also create explosive swings. Special teams showed up tonight.

This is what Super Bowl teams look like
The Bears have beaten the defending AFC champions and the reigning Super Bowl champions in primetime in back-to-back weeks.

Caleb Williams just oozes talent

Joe Buck is right. There is a level of calm, but it’s more of a controlled chaos.
Freak QB athlete who looks like he’s improving every week
Scary.
This Bears team is something else, man.

If Caleb keeps playing like THAT. And Jeffery Simmons does THAT. The Bears can compete for a Super Bowl. Good Lord.

What are the best debuts for a traded player with his new team in NFL history?
— Dane Brugler (@dpbrugler) November 3, 2026
Khalil Mack in 2018 for the Bears was an all-timer. Randy Moss was awesome in his Pats debut.
Jeffery Simmons' impact tonight is somewhere high on the list.
Bears fans deserve the fuck out of this team

What the Chicago Bears are doing tonight inside the home of the reigning Super Bowl champions, against arguably the best defense in football, is truly special.
— Kendall Beck (@KBeckNFL) November 3, 2026
They are the favorites of the NFC and it doesn’t feel particularly close.
Not only did the #Bears beat both participants in the Super Bowl in back to back weeks.
— Silvy (@WaddleandSilvy) November 3, 2026
The led from WIRE TO WIRE and NEVER trailed in either.
Take notice, #NFL
Bears are right now without question the BEST team in the NFL. In their last 2 games they beat last years Super Bowl teams and kicked the shit out of them

The Bears are who everyone thought the Rams were going to be
— lindsey ok (@lindseyyok) November 3, 2026
It’s not the Lions.
— Sam Block (@theblockspot) November 3, 2026
It’s not the Rams.
It’s not the Niners.
It’s not the Vikings.
It’s not the Packers.
It’s not the Seahawks.
The Chicago Bears run the NFC.
