Although he has only been with the team since the start of the 2025 season, Chicago Bears right guard Jonah Jackson has seen how quickly the city of Chicago will embrace the players during their winning times.
Jackson was acquired ahead of the 2025 season in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, in what was a massive overhaul on the offensive line that saw three new starters enter the mix last year.
Playing a big part in the turnaround for the offense and keeping quarterback Caleb Williams upright has made him a more familiar face around town, something Jackson told the "Spiegel & Holmes" show has brought more accountability to all the players.
"I used to be able to walk in grocery stores normally without being recognized. And now people know who
I am," Jackson told 104.3 The Score about the recognition the team has gotten over the past 8 months. "We hold a level of accountability to ourselves, the team and to the city. We want to make you guys proud, and make ourselves proud and take this thing to the top."
Jackson would also acknowledge that nothing energizes or unites the city like when the Bears are playing winning football, and that has been evident since Ben Johnson took over as the team's head coach. If Jackson is part of a Bears team that brings a Super Bowl trophy back to the Windy City for the first time since 1985, he and his teammates would forever be immortalized in the city.
