When Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson captivated the league last year, he did so not only by winning games, but by a chant that was felt and screamed throughout the league in the city of Chicago.
Johnson’s “good better best“ Victory champ became a Rowling cry for airspace worldwide and the locker room after every win last season. Johnson was undecided if he would bring it back in the 2026 season, but after the team’s victory over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, social media lit up when Johnson brought the chant back.
Johnson explained why it came back, believing it’s the right message to share to the team.
"It was kind of the vision when I took it over a year and a half ago," Johnson said. "I kind of had that in mind, that being kind of our thing.
And so, no, nothing really discouraged me away from doing that. I think it's a great message. I think it's a good rallying cry for us, and I think the guys enjoy it."
The Bears fanbase and their players alike have bought in on this being the chance to look forward to after a victory, and it certainly hasn’t lost his aura just yet. For now, as long as the team keeps winning, it’ll still feel like a fresh tune in the locker room each week.
