The Chicago Bears have a question mark at left tackle going into their Week 4 matchup against the New York Jets. Braxton Jones, who has started all three games for the Bears this year, is week to week with a knee injury, according to head coach Ben Johnson. "He's week to week right now, and I don't see him participating today," Johnson told the media on Wednesday ahead of practice.
Jones got rolled up awkwardly on a pass rush during the 27-7 win over the Eagles and exited with the knee injury in the second half. He did not return to the game.
With Jones' status up in the air, the Bears will need to figure out who the next man up will be. Could this finally be the week Ozzy Trapilo is ready for game action? "He's getting closer. I don't know if
this will be the week or not. Like I said, he's part of that mix where we're talking about guys that we need to evaluate over the course of the week."

As for Ozzy Trapilo, Ben Johnson says he's getting closer but doesn't know if this is the week for his return.#Bears
Johnson then mentioned other possibilities if Jones and Trapilo can't go. "If not [Trapilo], I think we got other options at tackle there. A guy like Jordan McFadden has played out wide, we put Joe [Thuney] there in the past as well. We got a lot of options there."
The Bears also have Theo Benedet, who replaced Jones on Monday night and has rotated with the veteran over the last couple of games. We'll see how the injury report shakes out over the next few days, but losing Jones would be a significant loss. He has had an excellent start to the year after re-signing on a one-year deal earlier this offseason, allowing just two total pressures and no sacks.
