With the Chicago Bears' season opener against the Carolina Panthers fast approaching, head coach Ben Johnson shared an injury update on wide receiver Rome Odunze.
Johnson said Odunze "more day-to-day" right now. Odunze won't practice on Tuesday, but the team is hopeful he'll be good to go for Sunday's opener. Johnson clarified that this is not a reaggravation of his foot injury from last season and that it's "something different."
Odunze exited last Thursday's practice with an apparent right leg or ankle/foot issue, per the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs. While Odunze tried to continue practicing, he was pulled by trainers as a precaution.
More to come.
