Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is starting to collect plenty of believers in his potential and capabilities for the franchise, to make a potential championship impact.
Since Ben Johnson became coach of the Bears last season, Williams has hit a new level in his play, leadership, and theatrics, proving himself to come up in the clutch time after time.
After the team’s week one win over the Carolina Panthers, in which they put up 59 points, Williams has made a believer out of ESPN’s very own Stephen A. Smith. This week on First Take, Smith said he believes that Williams will bring the first Super Bowl championship to the Bears franchise since 1985.
"I'm a huge Caleb Williams fan," Smith said. "I believe he's going to win a Super Bowl for
[the Bears] one day. I'm dead serious about that. I believe he's the greatest quarterback in the history of the Chicago Bears, right now, the brother is special. It's not that hard, but Caleb Williams is a bad brother, and by bad I mean, leaping towards greatness. I don't know if they're going to do it this year, but he's going to win a Super Bowl."

Both Williams and his head coach would say that the Super Bowl championship is an obvious goal, while also recognizing that there is still plenty of work to achieve in order to make that goal happen. However, it has been decades since the Bears were in legitimate Super Bowl talks, and has been an even longer time, if ever, since they had a quarterback receiving as much praise as Williams.
