Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had quite the season opener against the Carolina Panthers, leading his team to a commanding 59-37 win on the road in Week 1.
Williams had one of the best showings of his young career in his first outing in Year 2 under head coach Ben Johnson, and the difference between Year 1 and Year 2 was noticeable. The former No. 1 pick was poised, in command and confident leading the offense to a big conference win on the road, and he got it done through the air and on the ground.
Williams completed 21-of-29 passes (72%) for 269 yards and two touchdowns while adding 10 rushes for 65 yards and two scores. Williams recorded a 124.1 passer rating and earned a 94.8 Total QBR.
