The Chicago Bears will battle the Seattle Seahawks in prime-time in Week 8, where Chicago is looking to improve to 6-2 in the second of three straight prime-time games ahead of their Week 10 bye.
The Bears’ Week 8 game will air on ESPN and ABC at 7:20 p.m. CT on Monday night. The television commentators for the game are Joe Buck (play-by-play), Troy Aikman (analyst) and Laura Rutledge (sideline reporter).
The Bears are coming off a statement win over the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. It was ugly at times, despite the fact that the Bears led for the entire game. Penalties were once again an issue, as well as some drops, the pass defense struggled, the defensive line struggled to take advantage of a banged-up Patriots offensive
line, tight end Cole Kmet suffered a knee injury that was a brutal blow for the offense and Cairo Santos' single doink nearly cost them the game -- until he kicked them to victory.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks are coming off a dominating 20-3 win over the previously-undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Seattle's defense was a juggernaut and completely shut down Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City's offense, holding them to a single field goal and limiting former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III to 36 yards rushing. Seattle's offense did just enough to complement their sensational defense, which has yet to allow more than 180 yards passing in seven games this season.
