When the Chicago Bears matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this weekend, a lot of storylines will be focused on the quarterbacks, but the best pure talent may be in each team’s backfield. Currently, the Bears have the No. 1 rushing offense across the NFL, with Atlanta behind them in second and they are two of just three teams who have surpassed 800 rushing yards through the first five weeks.
Chicago has found plenty of success on the ground game since Ben Johnson took over as head coach, they remade the entire offensive line prior to the 2025 season, and have done so with a two-headed attack led by D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai. Meanwhile, Atlanta has truly one of, if not the best running back in the league who can do it all in Bijan Robinson.
Each week here at Bears Wire we’re selecting one player from the opposition to steal and put on the Bears. While they’re running game is already top notch, we will go ahead and take the best all-around talent at the position in the entire league: Bijan Robinson
This season, Robinson leads the league in rushing with 580 yards, and ranks in the top-three in both carries and yards per rush. Robinson is one of the most elite weapons in the NFL, and while there is a debate between he and Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions, Robinson proves week after week that his dual-threat capabilities make him the best running back in the NFL.
While Chicago has operated well with Swift and Monangai, there is no replacing the star power of Robinson, and the thought of him working behind Chicago's offensive line would do wonders on offense. In addition to the rushing attack with Robinson, he'd also be a dynamic element out of the backfield as a receiver for quarterback Caleb Williams.
