The news of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams' hamstring injury is all anyone can seemingly focus on after the team's lackluster loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The Bears fell to Minnesota 9-3, but that pales in comparison to Williams' status, who exited the game in the fourth quarter after falling awkwardly to the ground during a run.
Williams was eventually carted off with fans fearing the worst. Fortunately, the third-year quarterback dodged a bullet as it was confirmed by head coach Ben Johnson that Williams was dealing with a hamstring injury. He will undergo testing on Monday to determine the severity.
As for his teammates, many players were shellshocked as they hoped for the best for their captain. Cornerback Jaylon Johnson
had a short but understandable reaction when he saw his quarterback go down. "Oh [expletive]," he said to reporters in the locker room. "Then from there, just continue to battle adversity as far as the game. But we need him obviously, so hopefully he's able to get back as soon as possible."

Williams was hurt on the second-to-last offensive possession that resulted in a blocked field goal. Johnson and the defense then had to contain Minnesota's offense but could only hold them to a field goal to make it a 9-3 game with under two minutes to go. Despite backup quarterback Tyson Bagent driving the offense in the red zone, Chicago couldn't come away with a touchdown in the final seconds of the game.
