The Chicago Bears pulled off a massive 31-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Being on the road is never easy for an NFL team, but they went down and found a way to win a football game to improve to 4-2 on the season.
The Bears got back a couple of key players in quarterback Caleb Williams and cornerback Kyler Gordon, who both played a role in the victory. Despite a late fourth-quarter scare by the Falcons in an attempted comeback, the entire roster took care of their business and allowed the team to get the win.
Whenever you score 30-plus points and enter the fourth quarter having relinquished only a single touchdown, there are going to be some noteworthy plays. These five stick out above the rest:
1. Colston Loveland's Touchdown Reception From Caleb Williams

The Bears got their scoring party started by completing a terrific opening drive in Atlanta. Caleb Williams made an impressive throw to Colston Loveland, who made an equally impressive catch in the end zone for the touchdown. This propelled Loveland to have his first truly great day of the 2026 season.

Once D'Andre Swift found the end zone for the 14-0 lead, the Bears started to feel in control of the football game. At that point, you knew a good enough defensive performance should get them through to victory.
3. Josh Blackwell's Recovery On Atlanta's Botched Punt

Atlanta likely had a lot of "this is not our day" moments, but none of them were more significant than when they muffed a punt return, and Josh Blackwell was there to recover. This set the Bears' offense up for more success late in the third quarter.
4. Roschon Johnson's Third Quarter Touchdown

Roschon Johnson's touchdown run was significant for a couple of reasons. For one, it turned out to be the game-winning play as the Falcons crawled back into it in the fourth quarter after the Bears made the poor decision to bench their starters on defense. It also showed that Johnson can be an important part of the offense when called upon. Overall, he had a great day in Kyle Monangai's absence, and now they can be confident that they have three backs who can get the job done most of the time.
5. Kyle Gordon Calls Game
WELCOME BACK, KYLER GORDON

Like the last play featured, this Kyler Gordon play has double importance. For one, it stopped the Falcons in their tracks as they tried to make a miracle comeback late in the fourth quarter. From there, the Bears could wind down the clock and win the game. It's also meaningful because of the fact that Gordon made his season debut after a return from injury, and he made an impact that only a player who truly cares can make. Whether it was frustration or not, the powers that be at Halas Hall weren't thrilled with the situation involving Gordon's injury. However, everybody stayed loyal, and they are being rewarded for it. Gordon capped off a much-needed win on the road.
