In his first year with the Chicago Bears, last year's first-round tight end Colston Loveland had plenty of excitement and success.
Loveland set a NFL record for most receiving yards by a rookie tight end during Chicago's run in the playoffs last season, and he is set to be a focal part of the offense this season, along with wide receivers Rome Odunze and Luther Burden.
The youth movement that the Bears have, specifically on offense, fit in best with second-year head coach Ben Johnson and his plans to make the franchise a consistent winner. Recently, Colston Loveland appeared on "The Pivot" and was asked about the excitement surrounding the future of the Bears and said fans have plenty to look forward to.
"Very excited," Loveland said. "We've got
a lot of tools and I feel like we have all the pieces starting from the top down with our GM, head coach, and owners. Fans should feel really good. We're working out there, I'd like to say a lot harder than a lot of teams. We practice hard, we run to the ball, we finish. Those are big emphases. Good things to come, hopefully, God willing. But yeah, shoutout to Bears fans, man. They're great."
There is certainly no reason that fans shouldn't be excited after the Bears picked up their first NFC North division championship since 2018, and picked up their first playoff victory since the 2010 season during last year's run. Ben Johnson has made it clear that the team will not settle for one good season, and the comments by Loveland support the focus is on improving from 2025 to an even better season this year.
