The Chicago Bears are gearing up for a Week 8 prime-time game against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football, where Chicago is looking to win their third straight game and improve to 6-2 after an 11-day break.
The Bears are coming off a statement win over the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. It was ugly at times, despite the fact that the Bears led for the entire game. Penalties were once again an issue, as well as some drops, the pass defense struggled, the defensive line struggled to take advantage of a banged-up Patriots offensive line, tight end Cole Kmet suffered a knee injury that was a brutal blow for the offense and Cairo Santos' single doink nearly cost them the game -- until he kicked them to victory.
Meanwhile,
the Seahawks are coming off a dominating 20-3 win over the previously-undefeated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Seattle's defense was a juggernaut and completely shut down Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City's offense, holding them to a single field goal and limiting former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III to 36 yards rushing. Seattle's offense did just enough to complement their sensational defense, which has yet to allow more than 180 yards passing in seven games this season.
Following an impressive win, the Bears had an extended 11-day break before another prime-time game against the Seahawks, where they're looking for their sixth win and to keep up in a competitive NFC North. But what do oddsmakers think about this NFC heavyweight matchup?
