The Chicago Bears defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 27-7, on Monday Night Football. It was a game that saw third-string quarterback Case Keenum make his first start in over 1000 days on his eighth NFL team, and head coach Ben Johnson helped lead him to one of the best regular-season wins of his pro career.
Now that the Bears have this win, they are still right there with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions in the NFC North. They also take back their one-game lead over the Green Bay Packers.
A game like this is always going to have multiple exceptional plays that led to the victory. It was much harder to find those plays in last week's bad loss, but this is a whole different story. We were able to narrow it down to the five most important:

The Bears got themselves on the board when Luther Burden III made a big play to find the end zone. It was a rushing play from a pitch that saw him drag a huge pile of humanity multiple yards and into the end zone. A lot of runners wouldn't have gained that much on a play like this, but his lower body strength and willpower earned the Bears their first six points of the game.
2. Dillon Thieneman's first career interception

If there was ever a time for a first-round pick defensive back to get his first career interception, it would be right after the team took a 7-0 lead and is in danger of their opponent answering. That's exactly what happened when Dillon Thieneman intercepted Jalen Hurts' pass in the end zone. Things could have gone incredibly differently if this play had not been made.
3. Case Keenum completes it to Kalif Raymond for a big touchdown

Case Keenum gave the Bears some breathing room when he hit Kalif Raymond for a huge touchdown to go up by two scores. Raymond deserves a lot of the credit as well, as his yards after the catch were a result of his speed and desire to make an impact. Overall, he was the team's most impactful weapon in the win.

When the Bears need a turnover, they seem to get it. This time, with the Eagles still in reach, it was T.J. Edwards' interception of a Jalen Hurts pass. This was with under 30 seconds remaining in the third quarter, and it set up Chicago to take control in the final frame, which they did.

The Bears already had the game mostly in control by this point, but Case Keenum really shut down any potential doubts with this rushing touchdown to put Chicago up by three scores. It was also a cherry on top of a beautiful sports story for Keenum, who got to live out a late-career dream. At this point, the night was special for Keenum, his family, and the team as a whole. Now, there is real belief in the next-man-up mentality and that they can beat anyone.
