Following the Chicago Bears' offensive explosion in Ben Johnson's first season as head coach, it's no wonder that their playmakers are in high demand heading into fantasy football season.
Quarterback Caleb Williams established himself as one of the most clutch in the NFL, and he set a franchise single-season passing record in just one year with Johnson. Meanwhile, he has an impressive cast of weapons around him, led by second-year tight end Colston Loveland, who's poised for a breakout after leading Chicago in receiving yards and receptions, as well as wide receivers Rome Odunze and Luther Burden and running backs D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai.

(FPPR) leagues from Aug. 11, six players from the Bears were in the top 100 players on the list with a total of eight players making the overall list.
TE Colston Loveland, No. 33
Chicago’s top-ranked player on Boone’s list is tight end Colston Loveland, who is viewed as one of the best tight ends in fantasy football this season. He is the No. 3 tight end on the list with Brock Bowers with the Las Vegas Raiders being on top as the No. 13 player overall. Trey McBride with the Arizona Cardinals is No. 32 overall with Loveland just behind at No. 33 overall.
Loveland is set to be one of the top playmakers on the Bears this season after finishing last season as Chicago’s leading receiver. He shredded opposing defenses, particularly the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers, last season as a rookie. Now that he has a year under his belt in head coach Ben Johnson’s system, he has the potential to be one of the league’s top fantasy players. Having him behind McBride is understandable given McBride put up over 1,200 receiving yards last year. However, Loveland has an elite quarterback whereas McBride’s quarterback situation is uncertain. This really should give Loveland the edge over McBride.
WR Luther Burden III, No. 39
The next Bears player Boone has on his list is Luther Burden III, who is No. 39 overall. However, he is No. 20 among wide receivers. It is hard to believe that when the season ends, there will be 19 wide receivers who finish with better fantasy numbers than Burden, especially because one of the players listed ahead of Burden is Ladd McConkey with the Los Angeles Chargers. No disrespect to McConkey, but he regressed last season whereas Burden is on the rise. The groin injury he suffered in training camp could slow him down the first week or two, but he will still have a very productive fantasy season.
RB D'Andre Swift, No. 45
Running back D'Andre Swift is No. 45 overall and No. 18 among running backs on Boone’s list. This honestly might be a little high given he is sharing the backfield with Kyle Monangai, who clearly solidified himself as the No. 2 running back as year. He also had a prominent role in the offense by the end of the season and Swift’s involvement in the passing game decreased from 2024 to 2025. Swift is still someone who can generate decent fantasy production, but viewing him as a top-50 prospect might be a little high.
WR Rome Odunze, No. 60
The fourth Bears player on Boone’s list is Rome Odunze at No. 60 overall. Given Burden is No. 39, there is quite a difference in how he views Odunze versus Burden. This gap seems a little too big especially since Odunze is supposed to be Chicago’s top wide receiver and Burden is the No. 2 receiver. Still, there is concern about how much Odunze will produce with Burden expected to take touches away from him. However, Odunze is really on the upswing this year. He was playing through his foot injury for a good portion of the year. But, he started out last season hot with five touchdowns over four games. He has the talent to be a really good wide receiver on your fantasy roster this year and should be considered a top-50 fantasy player, especially in FPPR.
Caleb Williams, No. 78
Boone does not seem too hot on quarterback Caleb Williams as a fantasy prospect as he is ranked No. 78 overall and No. 8 among quarterbacks. This is quite low. While you do not want to draft your quarterback in the first few rounds (unless it is Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills, then it might be worth it), but having Williams as the No. 8 fantasy quarterback is underestimating him.
Not many quarterbacks have as many weapons to work with such as Loveland, Burden and Odunze. He also has some underrated weapons to throw to just as rookies Sam Roush and Zavion Thomas. Thomas made Boone’s list as the No. 294, acknowledging that he could have a role in this offense. Williams is a starting fantasy quarterback that should be ranked above other quarterbacks such as Jayden Daniels with the Washington Commanders, especially because of the combination of Williams’ durability and ability to run the ball.
RB Kyle Monangai, No. 100
Kyle Monangai just made it into the top 100 players at No. 100 overall. He is also being underestimated this season. Monangai saw an increased role in the offense last season and could also be someone that puts up huge fantasy numbers in the event that Swift has to miss a game. He was not very involved in the passing game, so there are probably backup running backs with better upside in PPR leagues. But, he is still someone to consider in late rounds as someone who could put up better numbers than expected.
K Cairo Santos, No. 300
The other player that made the top 300 for the Bears was kicker Cairo Santos, who was No. 10 among kickers. He is a reliable kicker, but his ceiling in kicks he can make is just over 50 yards, putting him at a disadvantage in a league with kickers who are making field goals of 60 plus yards.
