The Chicago Bears
are headed to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, a game where Chicago has plenty of momentum and are looking for their third straight victory in the rivalry. In their last meeting, the Bears knocked out the Packers of the playoffs with a win over them in the wild-card round, and head coach Ben Johnson has made it clear that there is no love lost between the two organizations.Green Bay's season has gotten to a very disappointing and slow start, with the team being without running back Josh Jacobs for legal reasons, and star pass rusher Micah Parsons who is recovering from a torn ACL. The Packers have also not had the level of play that they had been hoping for from quarterback Jordan Love, and the lack
of talent around him is obvious.
Each week here at Bears Wire, we're choosing one player from the opponent to put on the Bears, and while the Packers are struggling this season, they have a veteran safety who would be a nice addition to Chicago's secondary: Xavier McKinney.

One of the most productive and consistent players on the Packers defense, McKinney is a ballhawk that would fit well next to rookie Dillon Thieneman given the loss of Coby Bryant. Chicago's secondary has done well without Bryant, and have had Xavier Woods starting opposite of Thieneman at the safety position, but McKinney would be an upgrade without questions.
In the first four games of the season, McKinney has 17 tackles, one sack, and one passes defended, and has had at least five tackles in the past two games. Since joining Green Bay, McKinney has totaled at least 85 tackles in the first two years, and including this season, has a total of 11 interceptions for the Packers defense. His ability to force takeaways would fit right in with the defense that coordinator Dennis Allen and secondary coach Al Harris have built since the start of last season.
