The Chicago Bears continue to deal with injury struggles as the regular season looms. According to the Chicago Tribune's Sean Hammond, running back D'Andre Swift and wide receiver Rome Odunze both exited Thursday's practice with apparent injuries.
According to Hammond, "Odunze came up hobbling during an install period at the start of practice. Looked like right leg. He wasn’t overly concerned — he tried to stay in — but trainers pulled him off."
As for Swift, Hammond noted "Swift exited toward the end of practice during a full team period. After carrying the ball on a first-and-10 from the offense’s own 1-yard line, Swift came off the field apparently holding at his midsection or core area."
It's worth noting that head coach Ben Johnson won't meet
with the media again until next week, when he would address any injury concerns. The first injury report is required by next Wednesday ahead of Week 1's opener against the Carolina Panthers.
