The Chicago Bears took care of business in Week 4 when they dominated the New York Jets, winning 23-12 thanks to an overpowering offense that would not leave the field. Chicago finishes the proverbial first quarter of the season at 3-1 as one of the top teams in the NFC. But now they're onto one of the most anticipated games of the season.
Heading into Week 5, the Bears are set to travel north to take on the Green Bay Packers and add another chapter to their historic rivalry. The Packers and Bears appear to be heading in opposite directions. Green Bay has struggled through four weeks and is fortunate to have a 2-2 record after squeaking by with a narrow 17-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the Bears having won three of their last four meetings
to officially shift the tide after years of dominance by the Packers, this game could go a long way in positioning the NFC North heading into the middle of the season.
It's been a long time since the Bears entered Green Bay as clearly the better football team, and the betting odds seem to agree. As of Monday morning, the Bears are 2.5 point favorites against the Packers, according to multiple sportsbooks. This is the first time Chicago is a road favorite heading into Green Bay since Week 1 of the 2006 season and just the third time in the last 30 years, according to Stathead. The Bears won that Week 1 game 26-0 to kick off their run to Super Bowl XLI.

According to @Stathead, this is the first time the Bears are road favorites in Green Bay since Week 1 of the 2006 season and the third time in the last 30 years.
The number is not only notable for the historical purposes, though. The Bears are road favorites, and they could still be starting a backup quarterback for the third week in a row with Caleb Williams working his way back from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 2. The line indicates Vegas isn't worried about who the Bears will be starting, whether it's Williams, backup Tyson Bagent, or third-string quarterback Case Keenum. They believe the Bears can win no matter who is under center.
We'll see how the line moves between now and Sunday, but Packer week is already off to a good start for the charter franchise.
