Chicago Bears rookie Zavion Thomas is ditching his old No. 81 for a fresh new jersey number. Thomas, like some of his other teammates, decided to go with a new number that became available following roster cuts over the weekend. He is now wearing No. 13, according to the media guide via CHGO's Adam Jahns.

Thomas takes the number from veteran wide receiver Maurice Alexander, who was part of the final cuts and did not sign with the practice squad. He had possession of the number since 2025.

It's also the second year in a row that a Bears wide receiver picked in the draft changed from the 80s to the teens when the preseason was over. Luther Burden originally wore No. 87 before

switching to No. 10. Now, Thomas does the same.
