The Chicago Bears are making their final preparations before the head north to take on the Green Bay Packers, and there's a chance they include quarterback Caleb Williams.
The team released their final injury report of the week,
and Williams is officially listed as questionable for the game after returning to practice. Williams was listed as a limited participant in his first action since suffering a hamstring injury during Week 2's loss to the Minnesota Vikings.Though Williams hasn't been ruled out just yet, the expectation remains that Tyson Bagent will get the start on Sunday. Head coach Ben Johnson made that clear earlier in the week. Perhaps Williams returns for their Week 5 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, however.
Johnson indicated
his starting quarterback is where he needs to be in his recovery during Friday's media availability. "He’s right on track," Johnson said via Dan Wiederer of The Athletic. We got him throwing a little bit the other day. And we’ve got a progression set up for what that looks like. So it's to be determined how long it’s going to be."
We'll see how the Bears manage the quarterback situation, but nevertheless, it's good news for Williams as he inches closer to making his return to the field.
