The Chicago Bears suffered a blow to their defense with Coby Bryant going down with a knee injury during Monday's padded practice. But they didn't wait long to bring in a new addition to the roster.
The Bears announced they've signed defensive back Marlen Sewell to the roster and placed defensive lineman Jonathan Garvin on injured reserve as a corresponding roster move.
Sewell signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a rookie free agent after a success tryout. Sewell spent five years at Vanderbilt, where he appeared in 45 games. In 2025, Sewell totaled 52 tackles, two pass breakups and 1.5 tackles for loss.
More to come.
