There was a lot of hype and anticipation heading into Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams' return to the lineup after missing the last three games due to a hamstring injury. Safe to say, the former No. 1 overall pick did not disappoint in Chicago's 31-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Williams provided a boost for a Bears offense that went 2-1 in his absence, completing 30-of-36 passes (83.3%) for 305 yards and one touchdown with no turnovers and a 111.2 passer rating. Williams looked healthy, confident and comfortable in his first action in a month, although he did appear to lack the same Houdini-escapability that's made him a nightmare matchup for defenses. Still, he showed why he's the team's most important player.
Earlier this week, Williams
addressed the media for the first time since his hamstring injury, where he discussed all of the incorrect things being reported. While he was talking to the Chicago media, his comments were directed toward the national narrative that unfolded in the days and weeks that followed his injury.
But Williams did get into an exchange with a Bears beat reporter where he declined to answer a question about the severity of his hamstring injury, which posed an interesting discussion in the days leading up to the game.
Following Sunday's win over the Falcons, ESPN's Bears reporter Courtney Cronin shared an interesting exchange with Williams and the Chicago media.
"Caleb Williams just ran into the locker room from the field, looked at the visiting media waiting to enter and channeled his inner Kirk Cousins: 'Y’all like that?'"

“Y’all like that?”
It was a hilarious reaction by Williams, who shut a lot of people up after his return to the starting lineup where he showed just how important he is to this Bears offense and how he remains one of the young stars of the NFL.
