Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai shouldered the load during Sunday's 23-12 win over the New York Jets, and he's being recognized for his efforts.
Monangai has been nominated for FedEx's Air & Ground Player of the Week following his impressive outing against the Jets. The second-year running back had a career-high 30 carries for 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also added one reception for four yards.

The Bears as a whole totaled 232 rushing yards, but it was Monangai who did most of the work. After splitting carries with D'Andre Swift early on, the Bears almost exclusively rolled with Monangai after the veteran
back coughed up a fumble that was recovered by the Jets defense early in the second half. Swift was effectively benched, and it was Monangai's backfield the rest of the way.
The other nominees for this week's award are New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, and Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams.
Monangai has been nominated for the award in the past but has yet to win it. He would join quarterback Caleb Williams as the other Bears player to win the weekly award this year. Fans can vote for Monangai by visiting NFL.com/FedEx or via the NFL's social media accounts.
