What a night on the Chicago lakefront. After a week of uncertainty, injury issues, and having to face an undefeated NFC foe, the Chicago Bears put on a masterclass to soundly defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7 behind the arm of 38-year-old quarterback Case Keenum.
With starter Caleb Williams out with a hamstring injury and backup Tyson Bagent missing most of last week's practices, Keenum wound up getting the start and put together one of the best games of his 15-year career. Keenum propelled the Bears to a win by throwing for 247 yards with two touchdown passes and a rushing score as well.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears settled down after an up-and-down first half to put the clamps down on the Eagles offense. Chicago forced three
turnovers, including an interception in the end zone by rookie safety Dillon Thieneman to save a touchdown in the first half. After that, the Eagles struggled to move the ball and committed various penalties to push themselves back.
With the win, the Bears improve to 2-1 and keep pace in the NFC North. But all anyone could talk about was Keenum and the performance he had. Here's how the NFL world reacted to the big win.

If you doubted Ben Johnson going into this game for whatever reason, tonight should put an end to that.

He's one of the best head coaches in the NFL. I'll die on that hill. #Bears

I'm so mad at myself for not seeing this one coming. Sicko playcaller with an experienced backup QB is the ultimate upset formula.

Turns out that one bad day in a rainstorm against Brian Flores does not mean that Ben Johnson forgot how to do this.

I'm so happy for Case Keenum

This was an absolute statement game from Chicago tonight. Not just beating a playoff team, but straight up dominating them, with your 3rd string QB is extremely impressive.

Ben Johnson 🫡
I recall being told repeatedly that the Bears would regress mightily on takeaways in 2026. 🤔

That’s 3 tonight.

Chicago Bears are about to have a QB2 controversy which might be the most perfect Bears-thing ever.

I’m not even a Bears fan and I’m gonna tell my future grandchildren about the Monday Night Football Case Keenum game

I would not accept a 3rd round pick for Case Keenum
