Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has been the recipient of social media criticism, including from former NFL players, for the emotion and reaction he had when he suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday.
Williams was injured late in the fourth quarter of Chicago's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and while his reaction was not as serious as the injury ultimately turned out to be, many in the media took aim at Williams for his emotions.
One player who came to the defense of Williams is Las Vegas Raiders superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby, who spoke about the injury Williams suffered and how he displayed his emotions in the immediate aftermath of it.
“I’ve had one hammy thing a while back," Crosby said. "That s--- will freak you the f--- out when
it first happens…so in his head, you’d imagine oh s---. Something really bad just happened and you have all these emotions and things going on….we send love to Caleb and we know he’ll bounce back.”

Crosby has publicly been a fan and supported Williams for quite some time, and the emotions of a NFL franchise leader is real. The Bears seemed to have avoided any long-term injury issues with Williams, and is most likely set to miss just a couple of weeks as he recovers from his Grade 1 hamstring strain, with his team needing him back and healthy as quickly as possible.
