The Detroit Lions improved to 6-2 with a 19-9 road win over the Miami Dolphins (1-7).
While it wasn't Detroit's best offensive performance of the season, Lions head coach Dan Campbell opened his postgame press conference sharing how proud he was of his team and the way it handled a difficult week.
"I'm unbelievably proud."

"Alright, let me start here. A lot of what we said was, man, let's win No. 6 for 46, and we did that today. We got that done. I'll start there. I told them as a coach, there's things that we need to clean up, we can be much better than. We created some of our own issues at times. Ultimately, we played pretty dang good defense, and then offensively when we needed it, man, we hit
some explosives that one drive... Scored and then we finished the game out on O. That was a good thing.
"As a human being, as their teammate, I'm unbelievably proud of them. For everything that this week has been. This has not been easy. It's not been easy on anybody and for them to come in here, man, and lock back in, and fight, get in a dogfight with a team which by the way coach Hafley's doing a hell of a job. That team plays hard. The tape said so. We knew it would be that way. And hang in there and do what you have to do in the second half to finish this game out, I'm unbelievably proud. So, we'll take that. It's win No. 6," Campbell said.
It's been a trying week in the Motor City. Lions first-team All-Pro linebacker Jack Campbell was carted off the field in last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings. The neck injury has left Campbell hospitalized.
Jack Campbell released a statement in the middle of this past week, saying that he has "full movement" in his lower body and that he's "continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body."
But, Jack Campbell's health and recovery has been front of mind for his teammates and the organization all week long. The Lions arrived at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday wearing No. 46 Jack Campbell jerseys to honor their injured teammate.
Dan Campbell said his group desired to honor Jack Campbell with their Sunday performance against the Dolphins.

"The whole week, I mentioned this, it was prepare and play like Jack. Just understand... it kind of felt like we owed it to him in a sense. It's all we could do, because I mentioned this before, he'll take the prayers, but he doesn't want the pity. He didn't want you wasting the time thinking about him. Certainly doesn't want us to go in and not play our best ball and lose the game. So, that's what we could do.
"We wanted to honor him. And there's nothing easy about it. This is hard, because you do want to talk about and acknowledge it, because you can't just brush it under the rug. I mean, that's not fair. The guy means too much to us. And so the guys did that. Look, we've got a very strong locker room. We've got great leaders. The captains and the leaders on this team, the core of this team. The coaches did a hell of a job. We bonded together, and, ultimately, we found a way to win a game. That's important here. Especially coming off of that. It was emotional," Campbell said.
The Lions now turn their attention to an international trip. Detroit heads to Munich, Germany, to meet the New England Patriots next week. Kickoff is set for 9:30 a.m. ET from FC Bayern Munich Stadium. The game will be broadcast by FOX.
