After its best performance of the season in a 45-21 win at the Arizona Cardinals, the Detroit Lions (3-2) return to action following their bye with a pivotal home date against the Green Bay Packers (4-2).
It's the first NFC North matchup of the season for the Lions, and it's a game that Detroit desperately needs to get.
The NFC North is one of just two divisions in the NFL where every team currently has a winning record. The Minnesota Vikings (5-0) currently sit atop the NFC North standings as one of the league's three remaining unbeatens.
"It’s pretty exciting,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Monday. “It feels like it’s been a while. … You feel like everybody else has played each other and we haven’t had a chance to play anybody in our division
yet. So, this is exciting to be able to open up with our division. Obviously, at home against a really good opponent who’s playing really good football right now. That’s exciting. So, we’ll be ready to go. This will be fun."
