After a 31-30 home win over the New Orleans Saints to open the 2026 NFL season on Sunday, the Detroit Lions (1-0) are navigating a quick turnaround for their Week 2 date at the Buffalo Bills (1-0) on Thursday night.
On Monday, the Lions released their initial estimated practice report. Starting left guard Christian Mahogany exited Sunday's contest against the Saints on the second offensive series and did not return. Mahogany's injury was initially tabbed as a knee injury, but Lions head coach Dan Campbell said afterwards that Detroit was concerned that Mahogany had suffered a hip injury.
On Monday, Mahogany (hip) was listed as no practice. That's not a major surprise. However, starting right tackle Blake Miller (knee) was listed on this initial
practice report as no practice as well. That's a surprise given that he played all 77 snaps against the Saints, per Pro Football Focus.

Two other Lions were listed. Detroit center Juice Scruggs (knee) was tabbed as a limited participant, while safety Christian Izien (groin) was a full participant.
Monday's Lions practice was a walk-through, so all practice participation designations are estimations.
