, Detroit signed center Seth McLaughlin and running back Jabari Small to its practice squad. The Lions signed 14 players
to its practice squad after finalizing its initial 53-man roster. Then, Detroit signed offensive guard Elijah Klein and wide receiver Dominic Lovett to its practice squad. At the time, the Lions had completed their allotted 16-player practice squad allotment.
Detroit signed Bachie last April ahead of its offseason program. A seven-year pro, Bachie initially entered the league as an undrafted free agent.
Bachie has appeared in 66 games for the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, and, most recently, the Tennessee Titans. During those 66 games, Bachie made seven starts, registering 77 tackles (38 solo), 4.5 stuffs, and two passes defended. The Lions released Bachie as part of its roster cuts before inking him back to their practice squad.
The Lions signed McLaughlin to a Reserve/Future contract back in January. A former member of the Bengals, the 6-foot-4, 304-pound center did not see any game action as a rookie in 2025.
Small signed with the Lions in July of 2025 and then was waived before 2025 roster cuts. Detroit would ink Small back to its practice squad in December of last year. Like McLaughlin, the 5-foot-8, 205-pound running back was among the players that the Lions signed to Reserve/Future contracts in January.
